Dr. Trapp is originally from Auburn, Indiana, where he grew up on a small farm. He attended Purdue University to study Animal Sciences and attend veterinary school. While at Purdue, he met his wife, Abigail. Together they graduated from Purdue's School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Dr. Trapp then began his veterinary career in Decatur, IN for several years before taking over responsibilities at Van Wert Veterinary Clinic in 2010, while his wife continues as a small animal veterinarian in Fort Wayne.
Dr. Trapp’s interests include small animal medicine and surgery, dermatology, and food animal practice. In his free time, he enjoys biking, outdoor activities, raising beef cattle, and spending time with his own pets, which include 4 cats (Ellie, Gracie, Trevor, and Greyson) and his new Vizsla puppy, Penny.
